Light cure (Light gun) Instrument used to set certain resin based dental materials such as composite or fissure sealant. A blue light is shone onto the material for a time indicated by the manufacturer (can be up to 40 seconds normally.) Time intervals (10 or 20 seconds for example) are indicated by “beeps“.
