Details of presentations, lectures and workshops given by Mike Gow

  • Dr Gow taught and examined modules of the Diploma in Hypnosis Applied to Dentistry at University College London from 2005, and continues to regularly teach several modules with the Hypnosis Unit UK in London and Belfast. Since 2006 he has regularly given introduction workshops on hypnosis to nearly all of the newly qualified ‘VDP’ dentists and dental therapists in the West of Scotland and have for several years assisted on the BSMDH (Scotland) training courses. During my two years here I became skilled in the use of Nitrous Oxide Sedation, supplementing my practical experience with CPD courses.

    • Sep-Dec 01 Wuchopperen Health Service Locum position working in a Government funded , Aboriginal health centre in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. Appointment included working in a mobile dental van on the Atherton Tablelands for 7 weeks.
    • Dec 01-Mar 02 Dr James Auld’s Dental Surgery, Inverell, New South Wales, Australia. Locum in busy, private, amalgam-free practice. Dr Auld has a keen interest in anxiety management.
